 Sold this little side table yesterday. Finished with a UV resistant high gloss exterior grade poly-urethane . It will be on a patio. I always recommend shade for a painted piece regardless of the durability of the finish since water and sun will eventually eat through anything. If in the shade, protected from the heat and rain....no problem.

This mirror will be auctioned at the Dancing with the Stars benefit for the Cancer Society coming up May 12th in Buffalo. Outside dimensions 19 X 31. Beveled mirror. This mirror was found with a rough coat of paint in pale green. It has a small scratch on the mirror but look at it now.....all bright and shiny waiting for a new home. I never know what will happen once the paint brush comes out
These pics are from the kindergarten "Campers" room and the 2nd and 3rd grader "Hikers" room. All the figures....people, birds and animals are stickers. I painted the backgrounds. It was a fun project, a bit like doing the background for a disney cartoon. Lots and lots of cutting in with good "purdy" sash brushes. I almost always use a 2 1/2 inch sash....occasionally a 2 inch. Almost all of the work on these murals is done with house brushes and definitely needed two coats on everything.
