Color Consulting

Extensive experience with most interior and exterior paints is an immense help when choosing color, brand and sheen. Each consult is billed by the hour, beginning with listening to client expectations and ideas. Laura will then work with several fan-decks, not limiting the color choices to one company's choices. The color consult is completed with written instructions including color names, codes, sheen, and amount of paint needed. Laura always keeps a copy for her records so there is no confusion when you meet with your contractor or paint supplier.  Color consults can be completed via the internet also.

Sherwin Williams "Ablaze"on walls. SW Proclassic water base "Apple White" for the upper cabinets. Using the White on the uppers and Oak finish on the lower cabinets gives the room a more open feel by visually continuing the white from the ceiling and the wood tones from the floor to the lower cabinets.

Before: This country kitchen had been painted in a semi-gloss off-white from ceiling to floor

Cabinet paint is used for the trim. In this photo you can see how matte paint on the ceiling removes the glare seen in the 'before' pictures
Plain off white for many years, now rich greens highlight the architectural elements that were unnoticeable in white.

This view shows the flow from the warm gold in the hall to the rich green 'High Tea' in the foyer. The upper foreground: note the lighter 'Favorite Tan' that was used for the formal living area
