Dave Rowswell is a retired high school sculpture and ceramics teacher for Cheyenne Wyoming. He initially began working with rawhide in a sculptural manner which left him with a lot of rawhide scraps. These scraps turned into a necklace and earring set for his lucky wife Georgia! Rawhides durability, lightness, and translucency immediately captured his imagination. He was hooked and his quest to create a line of contemporary jewelry with a western flair began. After developing several designs and test marketing to rave reviews, Dave formed Rawhide Studio in the spring of 2013.
