Maureen Flannery Maureen Tolman Flannery is an award-winning poet with ten books and over five hundred poems published in literary jounals and anthologies across the country. She shares with Wyoming in Color two of her many passions, poetry and creating in wood. Her forest folk and woodland habitats reflect her love of Wyoming timberlands and the beauty of natural objects and hollow logs.
She grew up in a Washakie county sheep ranching family, but raised her four children in Chicago, where she taught English. Five years ago she and her actor husband Dan moved two historic log cabins to a site outside Ten Sleep. The restoration of the cabins has been a labor of love and joy for them and their children. This year they have embarked on the process of relocating yet another hudred-year-old cabin. |
