Tromp L' oeil

Tromp L' oeil is a term used in decorative painting that means "to fool the eye". Tromp l' oeil literally tricks the eye into believing that what is painted is three-dimensional. Laura has used this technique for fun as shown in the example of the water pipes in an engineering reception area.  Practical purposes also, as in the painted electrical cover plates or a painted window to give the illusion of a breeze in a closed laundry room.
