Amy Payton

Amy Payton, is a stained glass and sand etching artist who lives in Buffalo, Wyoming with her husband and horses. She has a reverence for nature, animals, and love of the outdoors. Her activities include riding her horse anywhere and everywhere, camping, fishing, hiking, and woodworking. All which inspire her pieces.
Payton has been creating stained glass for fifteen years and loves to spend time in her studio ‘just to relax.’ Her obsession is her native American inspired stained-glass feathers. In some of her pieces you will find horse hair from her own horse’s tail, antlers found while riding or hiking in Wyoming, rattlesnakes’ tails, bear claws gathered by friends and family, Wyoming river rocks, and leather and antlers from elk and deer. She hopes her love of Wyoming, the US, wildlife, and native American culture is reflected in her pieces.
