Pat's Pottery by Pat Schweikert

I am a Wyoming native who has come home to roost. My husband and I moved to Buffalo in 2005 after his retirement from his work which was in Colorado. For 2 years, we lived in a camp trailer on our land while building our home. After settling down after finishing our home project, I had time to do something fun. I took a pottery class in 2009 and that was it! I was hooked. Nothing could be as much fun as playing in the mud. If I had one regret it would be that I didn't start throwing clay 20 years earlier. Due to the generosity of a special lady I was able to acquire my very own kiln and potters wheel. I now spend my days in the studio which looks out over the Bighorn mountains, and work with friends who also love the art of pottery. In 2010 I participated in my first craft show which was the beginning of producing pottery for others. I enjoy spending time at these fairs where I have met and found wonderful friends. What a great way to spend ones life, doing something that makes the heart and soul happy!
